The Form

We create tasks directly in Asana, and respond to ad-hoc stuff in Slack that never gets added to Asana...

But the best way to get things done is to create a task in Asana, which is done by filling out the form.

The form can be found here:

https://web-team.stellarwp.com/new-ticket

What's the big deal?

The form is simple enough that it might be hard to see why it's so important.

But the form functions as a kind of checklist, ensuring that key information is included—or at least making you consciously aware of any details you’re omitting.

This really helps to minimize ambiguity and increase efficiency. In the best case, everyone saves time:

  • The Web Team spends less time chasing down missing information.
  • Submitters spend less time answering follow-up questions.

In reality, ambiguity and changes in scope are inevitable; the form is just a tool to help.

What happens when I submit the form?

Tickets are added to the Web Team's Queue.

In most cases, it will be automatically assigned to a member of the Web Team most familiar with the brand related to the ticket.

From there, the ticket will be worked on as soon as possible.

tip

If the ticket is urgent, and you need to get it done sooner, you can ping @web-team in the #stellar-websites Slack channel for escalation.

If you want more detail on the Queue or anything else Asana-related, read more in How We Use Asana.
